An autumn weather on Ostersund does not want to give place to snowfall or the slight frost. During the women's individual race the meteorologists monitored +2 digress and minor rain. But this is the athletes' destiny to compete in any weather.

The difficult weather conditions influenced the race's results — no biathletes could show the perfect shooting because of the gusty wind. The winner of the race — Darya Domracheva from Belarus — made two misses, the silver medal winner — Anna Maria Nilsson — had one, and German Magdalena Neuner made three mistakes at the shooting range. The Russian biathletes made too many mistakes. But one should not make any conclusions yet. We had the test firing and will continue working.

Ekaterina Yurlova brought joy. The main poet of the Russian team made it to the top-10. She cpuld be in top-5 if not the last shooting and the insidious wind and tiredness. At the last shooting Yurlova missed twice and finished 10th.

Olga Zaytseva had a good timing — she was best among the Russians in this component. The two-time Olympic winner took the 7th positions in the final timing protocol. After the race Olga Zaytseva commented that the wind disturb only at the first shooting. The three misses at the standing shooting was her mistake.

On December 2nd the world cup in Ostersund will be continued with the men's sprint, which will start at 16:15 (GMT+1). Evgeny Garanichev is the first among the Russians to open the race with the bib number 16. The other Russian sportsmen will start the race under the following numbers: Evgeny Ustyugov — 24, Anton Shipulin — 29, Andrey Makoveev — 37, Alexey Volkov — 80, Maxim Burtasov — 91. 103 sportsmen will start in the race.
