Kaisa Makarainen: “I would always choose Swedish to my team”

Finnish biathlete Kaisa Makarainen commented on her victory at the Champions race 2012:

«I did not think of my victory before the race. When Bjoern Ferry picked me I remembered the race in Geksenkirchen. In Germany I ran the mixed-relay with Carl Johan Bergman and we won. That is why I was sure everything would be okay, as I ran with the Swedish guy again. It would be great if we could have biathlete of different nations in one team in mixed relays at the world cups. I would always choose Swedish biathletes to my team.

I really like Russian fans. I know them well, as there are always many Russian fans at the world cups in Kontiolahti.»
