Anton Shipulin set up a record in Olympic London

On July 29, member of the Russian biathlon team Anton Shipulin visited Olympic London to participate in one of the projects of MegaFon in Russia.Park. Anton met supporters of the Russian team and tried out unusual sports.

Anton has not only answered the question of supporters and held the photo- and autograph-sessions, but also set up a personal record in new kind of sports. However, he could not refuse from having a weapon behind his shoulders, but changed skis for skates and rifle for bow and arrows. Volunteer of the Summer Olympics Nadezhda competed against Anton in curling and ice hockey. The tensest part of the competition was a fight between Anton and Nadezhda at the hockey ring, where they had to run 30 meters and shoot a bow. Anton’s overall time was 1 minute 20 seconds; he used 8 arrows and set up his personal record in a new discipline. Nadezhda finished second. She won a meeting and photo shoot with Anton Shipulin.

“Today I gained a unique sport experience. I doubt that anyone has ever done skating with bow. The spectators’ support was great, I really had a feeling that I set up a record,” commented Anton Shipulin. It is great, that sportsmen have an opportunity to participate in Summer Games and talk to fans.”

Special zone of MegaFon opened its doors for quests of Russia.Park at the Russia’s Olympic House in London. Hockey pitch, ice-skating rink, and curling rink are operating in the area. Visitors can try out winter sports and meet famous Russian sportsmen. Anton Shipulin is a first guest of MegaFon in London.
