Biathlete of the Russian team Timofey Lapshin commented his second place in the sprint race at the IBU cup in Idre.

Norwegian Bente Landheim won in the sprint race at the IBU cup in Idre, Sweden. Yana Romanova was the best among the Russians, finishing 6th.

Russian Timofey Lapshin won Silver of the sprint race at the IBU cup in Idre. Austrian Julian Eberhard won Gold, Bronze went to Claudio Boeckli from Switzerland.

On November 14 the men's team A traveled from Moscow to Swedish OStersund for a new training camp. Men's team A composition: Evgeny Garanichev, Evgeny Ustyugov, Andrey Makoveev, Timofey Lapshin, Anton Shipulin, Alexey Volkov, Alexey Slepov, Dmitry Malyshko, Maxim Tsvetkov, Ivan Tcherezov. Three-time world champion Maxim Chudov is on self-training, but will train jointly with the national team.

The Russian women's team A moved from Finnish Muonio to Swedish Bruksvallarna. On November 9, the team, consisting of Olga Zaitseva, Olga Vilukhina, Svetlana Sleptsova, Ekaterina Shumilova, Yana Romanova, Ekaterina Yurlova, Marina Korovina, Anna Bulygina, Olga Podchufarova, and Kristina Smirnova arrived to the training camp in Sweden.

The Russian men's team A finished training camp in Neryungri. On November 11, the team will fly back to Moscow. The training camp in Swedish Ostersund will start on November 14. The coaching staff will name the team's composition for the first world cup in Ostersund.

In 2013, the Regional IBU cup will take place in Sochi. This international tournament will take place in the capital of the Olympics 2014 on January 22–27.

The Russian women’s team A started its training camp in Muonio, Finland. Olga Zaitseva, Anna Bulygina, Olga Vilukhina, Ekaterina Shumilova, Anastasia Zagoruiko, Marina Korovina, Yana Romanova, Svetlana Sleptsova, Ekaterina Glazyrina, Ekaterina Yurlova and Olga Podchufarova arrived to Muonio on Thursday evening, October 25.

The men's team A finished its training camp in Austrian Ramsau on October 17. In the evening the team will flight from Wien to Moscow.

The Russian men's team A started a new training camp in Austrian Ramsau. On October 5, the team left Moscow for Munich. The training camp in Austria will last till October 17. The men's team B and Maxim Chudov have already started training in Ramsau.
