Olga Zaitseva: “We did not get medal because of my fall”

Biathlete of the Russian team Olga Zaitseva commented on the incident with Norwegian Ann Kristin Flatland at the last lap of the pursuit at the WCH in Nove Mesto:

«I fell down in the forest. Ann Kristin was outrunning me from the slope, stepped on ice and fell down in front of me. I bumped into her — there was no chance to go around. She lost her ski and I lost my pole. It happened and we did not get a medal because of this fall. Perhaps I could fight — but now my place is fourth. Flatland apologized to me after the race. I do not want to be mad at her as she did not mean to do it. This is the situation you can do nothing with.»
