Alexey Volkov: “Shooting is my thing, others should be worried there”

Biathlete of the Russian team Alexey Volkov commented on his second place in mass start at the World Cup in Oberhof:

«Everything was perfect today. I tried to shoot slower at prone shooting, worked calmly and accurately. In standing shooting, I worked in my tempo. I think I did well. I had a task to work in my tempo. If people would start to ski faster, I would have to endure. I knew I could win back 5–7 second at the shooting range. Shooting is my things, and others should be worried there.

The coaches helped my on the track. It was hard to fight against Fourcade in my shape, taking into account his form. I knew, that 10 seconds from Boe was a huge advantage for him to win back in the last meters. I cannot say I was too tired at the finish.»
