Vladimir Korolkevich: “This victory will motivate us”

Coach of the Russian women's team Vladimir Korolkevich commented on the team's victory in the relay at the World Cup in Ruhpolding:

«You always get nice emotions, when the team wins. There are advantages and disadvantages in every race. We planed to try the strongest relay team at this World Cup. Everything worked out.

In terms of psychology, today's race is positive for the girls. I think that our performance here will be successful.

Not everything is perfect in terms of functional conditions, not all the girls are on the level, we expect to see from them. But we have enough time after the World Cup in Anterselva for the training camp. We will correct all this moments, and will get the optimal shape by the Olympic Games.

As for the shooting of Irina Starykh, she made a miss at the standing shooting because she was scared. The public started to shout supporting their athlete. There is nothing bad about it, she needs to gain experience.

Of course, I was worried today. We all want to see result and want athletes to prove their level. This victory will motivate us, coaches and athletes further.»
