Dmitry Malyshko: “I wanted to create a maximal advantage for Shipulin”

Biathlete of the Russian team Dmitry Malyshko commented on his performance in the relay at the Olympic Games in Sochi:

«I was calm on my leg. I wanted to create the maximal advantage for Anton Shipulin, just like I did it here last year at the World Cup in Sochi. To say the truth, I failed. All competitors were very strong. It was difficult to win back seconds. Anton said I managed to pass the baton in a good position for further work. I do not know yet how is it like to be an Olympic champion. The Norwegians surprised us. Emil Hegle Svendsen made us a present, taking a penalty loop. This was the moment of relief. We knew that Anton was able to won over the German at the finish. I am glad that everything has happened this way!»
