Alexey Volkov: “I have never worried that much as during the last shooting of Anton Shipulin”

Biathlete of the Russian team Alexey Volkov commented on his performance in the relay at the Olympic Games in Sochi:

«It was not my first first leg. I have my own strategy. I had a task to shoot clean and do not lose more than 15 seconds. I failed both of them, but overall my performance was good. Never in my life I was that worried as during the last shooting of Anton Shipulin. Perhaps, this will never happen again.

Yesterday, Sergey Kushchenko came to us. We had a nice talk. Overall this played its positive role. We talked without any tensions. We have 3–4 days off ahead. Some of the athletes will go home, I will not have enough time for this. After that we will need to perform well at the last World Cup stages.»
