Ivan Tcherezov placed sixth in super sprint at the Blink Festival which takes place in Sandnes, Norway. Johannes Boe of Norway won the race, while his brother Tarjei Boe finished second. Martin Fourcade of France took the third place.

The traditional festival Blink, which takes place in Sandnes, Norway, opened yesterday with the Lysebotn opp competition, where sportsmen needed to run up the mountain on roller skis. Swiss skier Curdon Perl won the race, while Maxim Chudov had the best result among Russians finishing 36th.

The biathlon and skiing festival Blink in Norwegian Sandnes has continued today with the
mass-startcompetitions. Ivan Tcherezov has been the only participant qualified to the race after the preliminary starts. Tcherezov has won the race, leaving Tarjei Boe, Emil Hegle Svendsen and other top biathlon athletes.

The debut uphill run of the skiers and biathletes happened on the shore of one of the most beautiful Norwegian fjords. The race was not showed on TV, it was not a significant competition, and it did not attract thousands of spectators. But biathlonrus.com has seen the first competition of Blink and thinks that German Puttlingen has been left far behind the Norwegian festival and its beautiful background nature. Sometimes sports’ results could be not the most important thing of the biathlon competition.

On July 21 the first competitions of the fifth annual Skifestival Blink were held. Marit Boergen from Norway celebrated the victory in the women Lysebotn Opp. Norwegian Martin Johnsrud Sundby ranked first among men. Russian Ivan Tcherezov finished in 15th position.

The fifth annual international festival Blink will take place in Norway from July 21 till July 23. After
two-yearbrake Russian biathletes will come back to the Sandnes’ roads. Ivan Tcherezov will start with the uphill running, after that together with Evgeny Ustyugov he will compete in the shooting tournament and will try to qualify themselves for the mass-starts.
