-
Hello, I found this forum after checking the monthly web statistics of my site Svetlana Sleptsova Fans International. The referrer log shows that I have lots of visitors who come over to my site by clicking on links in this forum. I'm very glad that so many people are visiting the website I'm running for Sveta, and I hope you will return every now and then.
Sveta is an excellent athlete, and a lovely person at the same time. I'm sure she will bring a lot of fun into biathlon in the years to come. It's really great that she has so many supporters in Russia and around the world!
So all that remains to say for now is:
Heia, Sveta! :D

Свен, 12 Янв 2009, 23:27That's still difficult to say, because this is the first season I'm trying live. In the years before, I have watched Biathlon on TV only, and on the screen, everything looks just fine. And could you recommend where it possible to go to see a real sport event and not only a huge party, as you said? :o
So far, I have visited Hochfilzen (both events) and Oberhof. I'll also visit Ruhpolding and Antholz-Anterselva this month, and then I will be able to say which one of them I'd recommend most. I guess it won't be Ruhpolding, because everyone in Germany tells me that it is almost as overcrowded as Oberhof. So far, I can say that I liked Hochfilzen - except for the nasty weather that was hard to bear in the second week. However, "Hochfilzen experts" told me that the weather was unusually bad this year. -
Tanka, 13 Янв 2009, 00:33It seems to me it doesn't matter what it will be the place, if it allocated in Germany  Because it is very popular. And there are so many crazy fans.
But everyone have a choice what to prefer: big show or only sport event. As for me I'd like to combine both of them. And I really envious europeans for easy going everywhere you want.
And tell me please, why Svetlana? So many great German biathlonists...
(I'm sorry for my English :( ) -
Свен, 13 Янв 2009, 02:40Yes, biathlon has become VERY popular in Germany over the years - mainly due to the great results of the women's team of Uwe M??iggang. With the popularity, the number of visitors at Oberhof and Ruhpolding has grown considerably. Too much, in my opinion. It isn't fun anymore if you have to be at the course several hours before the competition starts, in order to see anything, of if it takes 1 hour after the competition to leave the arena, because too many people are pushing and shoving towards the exit.It seems to me it doesn't matter what it will be the place, if it allocated in Germany  Because it is very popular. And there are so many crazy fans.
Yes, at least to a couple of stages. However, regarding the World Championships at Korea, it's a long and expensive voyage from Germany, too. And frankly - I'd just love to go to the stage at Khanty-Mansiysk, but it's a bit too far away for me........And I really envious europeans for easy going everywhere you want.
Oh, actually, your English is very well! And tell me please, why Svetlana? So many great German biathlonists...
(I'm sorry for my English :( )
So why Svetlana...... well, I've seen her a couple of times on TV at the first stages of the previous season, and I was immediately aware that she's got some special and rare mixture of traits that makes up an exceptional sportswoman. Moreover, I really liked her heartwarming smile.
It's true that Germany has many great biathletes, but Sveta certainly is the best of all. The future will prove it. :) -
Tanka, 13 Янв 2009, 22:10You are actually right in everything, you say. And it's very pleasant to hear so nice words about russian woman, especially if she is one of the world-sports-leaders! :D -

Oy, I should have known that before - then I certainly wouldn't have become ill! ;)
Well, actually, I'm almost restored by now, and nothing will prevent me from travelling to Antholz-Anterselva! :D -

Свен, 30 Мар 2009, 01:36Sveta about the end of the season 2008/2009:
- Sleptsova already thinking of Vancouver-2010
- There was hardly a reason to assume that all of the shooting problems would disappear in a couple of days
German version:
- Sleptsova denkt bereits an Vancouver-2010
- Es war kaum anzunehmen, dass alle Schie?probleme in ein paar Tagen verschwinden w?rden -
